How the calculator works

The maths is simple on purpose, so you can check it yourself. We multiply the hours your team spends each week by the cost of one hour, then by 52 weeks. That is what the busywork costs you each year.

We then assume automation takes over 60% of those hours. That share is what you could win back. Divide the monthly saving by the price of a plan and you get the return on each dollar.

A worked example. A team spends 32 hours a week on busywork, at $45 an hour. That costs $74,880 a year. Automating 60% wins back about 19 hours a week, worth $44,928 a year or $3,744 a month. Against the Core plan at $3,500 a month, each dollar returns about $1.07.

The calculator counts time only. It leaves out faster invoicing, fewer errors, and leads answered sooner, which often matter more. For a fuller method, read how to calculate AI automation ROI, or see what we automate on the business automation page.

Questions about the numbers

Start with the hourly wage, then add what it costs to employ that person: CPP and EI contributions, vacation pay, benefits, and a share of rent and software. If you are unsure, use the wage plus a margin and adjust it once your accountant gives you a better number.

Not every minute of a task can go to software. Exceptions, judgment calls, and customer conversations stay with people. We use this as a planning figure, then replace it with your real number on the Automation Map call.

Retyping data between systems, building invoices and chasing payments, sorting inquiries, and building the same report every week. They happen often, follow a pattern, and rarely need judgment.

Then a full-time plan may not be the right fit yet. A few months of Core can still clear your biggest wins, and you can pause when the list is done. We will tell you honestly on the call.
